Emeraude Toubia is a native of Canada and is best known to Canadians because of her character as a Canadian actress in the Freeform fantasy show Shadowhunters. She also appeared in Venevision Telenovelas Cosita linda e Voltea to whom you are love. Additionally, she's a talented model and dancer. She is a native of Montreal however, she grew up and studied in Texas. Her passion for dancing has been in her since she was a child. Since her early years she was trained in a variety of styles. When she was 15 years old, she began taking part in beauty contests. In 1999, she made her first on-screen appearance in Televisa's children's program El Mundo de los Ninos. Toubia gained fame after in 2008, she appeared as an contestant on Nuestra Belleza Latina season two of Univision's beauty competition. In 2010, she began acting when she played an office receptionist in an Telemundo episode. In 2015, she appeared in her debut feature film, an action drama called Tattooed Love. Toubia was recognized for her performance on Shadowhunters, Toubia was nominated for the Teen Choice Awards for Choice TV Actress: Fantasy/Sci-Fi in 2017 and 2018.
