Jeanie Marie Buss, an American businesswoman. she is the current president and controlling owner of Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. Buss is a native of California and grew up as part of a rich family. Jerry Buss was her father. Jerry Buss started out as a realty business tycoon after which he later became the owner of the Lakers. When she was in the year 1972, her parents separated together and she felt lost. At the age 19 she became the general manager for the Los Angeles Strings, a professional tennis club. In the following years, she created the Los Angeles Blades roller hockey professional team. She was president of the Great Western Forum, before becoming the Vice President for the Lakers. Her father passed away in 2013 and his controlling control of the Lakers was transferred to Buss as well as her siblings by a trust of the family with each sibling having the same vote. Buss was elected president of the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss was also a partner in the ownership of Women of Wrestling (a Los Angeles-based pro-wrestling organization).
