Whitney Houston and Dana Bash
Whitney Elizabeth Houston was conceived in a musical family on 9 August 1993 in Newark New Jersey. Whitney is the daughter and cousin of the singer Dionne. Her first singing gig was in the choir of her church The New Hope Baptist Church in Newark as a young child and by the age of 15, she had begun singing backing vocals professionally alongside her mother on Chaka Khans 1978 hit Im Every Woman. In the year 1981, she was a model, and was featured on the Seventeen album cover. She also performed the backing vocals for Lou Rawls and Jermaine. Her first gig was as a lead vocalist with the funk group from New York, Material as well. It was her quality of her work as a vocalist with them that attracted the attention of major record companies, such as Arista which she signed with in 1983 and where she would remain for the remainder of her career. In 1985, Whitney Houston's debut album turned out to be the top-selling debut album of all time. All My Love was released in 1985 and was a top one smash. Album sold in US 3,000,000 copies before it increased to 25 million worldwide. This brought her first of her 6 Grammy Awards. The Whitney album of 1987, which featured the songs that I Wanna Dance With Somebody and Where Do Broken Hearts Get to and continued to be a huge success. But it came with The Bodyguard of 1992 that made her one of the top-selling performers in the history of music. Although her performance in the film and soundtrack was not well-received, her Dolly Parton cover I Will Always Love You as well as the album accompanying it were top of the charts around the globe for months. The same year, she was married to Bobby Brown who was a previous New Edition singer. She had their only daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown. They were married in the month of March, 1993. Around this time that her widely documented substance abuse began. By 1996 she was an everyday user.
Dana Bash (also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz) is a CNN anchor and political reporter. Her prior work has included NBC, CBS and other prominent channels. Additionally, she produces the CNN's weekend shows including Evans & Novak Late Edition as well as Inside Politics. Bash has received many awards as well as a spot on the Women in Washington Power List by Elle magazine. Many young journalists admire her for having incredible reporting/anchoring capabilities. She is a George Washington University grad is a devoted mother to her one child. She's been married twice. Her current relationship is not formal. Bash is a sturdy and independent woman, loves her fans wholeheartedly.
