Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic musician, singer and composer. Avery Sunshine combines soul gospel with R&B in a distinct mixture. From Broadway to European festival and clubs, the artist has worked across the globe. Sunshine is Denise White. While she resides in Atlanta, she originates from Chester Pennsylvania where she began music by performing as well as playing the piano at church. She went to Spellman College in Atlanta where she started her musical apprenticeship on the city's R&B scene. The Fighting Temptations The single that featured her vocals,"Stalk You an House is only available in Japan. It has been remixed many times, and it is a mainstay of her live shows. Her voice has also been a part of singing on The Fighting Temptations' soundtrack. In 2005, she became the drummer in Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, a Grammy as well as Tony Award winning vocalist who had worked on the stage production Dreamgirls in the National Black Arts Festival of Atlanta in 2007, invited her to serve as the choir leader of the production. Sunshine gained national recognition during four daily performances at the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was later invited to sing during President Barack Obama's inauguration in 2009.
