Aaliyah's debut album Age Ain't Nothin' However A Number debuted in 1994. In the age group of 15 the album was awarded Gold status. The group's collaboration heavily influential to R. Kelly's music, made her a star. In 1996, she collaborated with Jermaine Dpri as well as Timbaland in her sophomore studio album One In A Million, that included the top-selling single If Your Girl Knew. With the release of this work Aaliyah received international recognition for her performance as an R&B performer. She was also on the screen in Romeo Must Die, a romance/action movie with Jet-Li. The role was offered to her after being spotted by the film's producer Joel Silver at an awards event. In 2002, she was able to appear in the horror film Queen of the Damned which was based on The Anne Rice novel. The Matrix Sequels followed, featuring Zee as her character. Aarti is both Aarti as well as Aarti. Majumdar. While she started out with small TV and movie roles, her acting started growing in popularity around the turn of the century. In addition to The Big Bang Theory, the other shows she has starred in are Leverage (2013) Suits (2014) and Grey's Anatomy (2017.) The actress has been featured in a variety of commercials for Volvo's international automobile maker. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband and daughter and will continue to pursue an acting career.
